Data handling for secure VPN access

The public policy mirrors the in-app privacy page: clear, practical, and specific to Atlas Connect.

01

Introduction

Atlas Connect is a secure VPN companion for invited users. It does not require an advertising profile, analytics account, or social login.

02

Data Collection

The app stores connection history, usage totals, appearance, language, notification preferences, favorite locations, recent locations, and an installation identifier used for invitation redemption. VPN credentials are stored in iOS Keychain.

03

How Data Is Used

Data is used to connect the VPN, show session statistics, remember settings, verify invitation access, run latency and speed checks, and send local connection alerts when you enable them.

04

Data Storage and Security

Credentials stay in iOS Keychain and are shared only with the Packet Tunnel extension. Diagnostics redact credentials and full server addresses before they are shown for troubleshooting.

05

Third-Party Services

Encrypted tunnel traffic is sent to the selected VPN server. Public IP and location checks, speed tests, and invitation redemption use HTTPS network services that may receive standard request information such as IP address and headers.

06

User Rights

You can reset the VPN profile, delete the app to remove local app data, clear invitation access by removing the app data from the device, and contact support for privacy questions.

07
